On Monday the investments Limits increased by the Reserve Bank Of India by the foreign investors in Government bonds by Rs.110 billion to Rs. 2.42 trillion and also its tweaking rules also attracted more long term investments.

RBI also increased its limits for the general category at Rs.28 billion to Rs. 1.88 trillion and the category its limits by Rs. 82 billion to Rs. 543 billion.

RBI added that the revisions will be effective from July 4,2017.

RBI also said that as its occasional changes to the investment rules, 75% of the futures increase and increase its limits for the foreign investors and it will be in the long term term category and for general is 25%.

RBI also said that it added and it ends the practice of transferringunutilised limits from the long category to general category.
