On Thursday the key Indian equity market opened higher, the BSE Sensex was closed on Wednesday at 31,245.56 points is today opened higher at 31,298.42 points and it was quoting at 30,279.33 points, up by 33.77 points or 0.11%.

On the NSE, the broader 51-scrip Nifty which was closed at 9,637.60 points and today quoting at 9,644.60 points, up by seven points or 0.07%.

Rather than trading with caution over geopolitical concerns, the equity markets trimmed some losses on the back of healthy services sector data, inflow of foreign funds and positive global indices, to close marginally higher.

Asian indices were mostly showing a negative trends are, Japan Nikkei 225 was trading in red which is down by 0.43%, South KoreaKospi was also down by 0.17%, Hang Seng down by 0.28% and china’s Shanghai Composite index was quoted in green up by 0.03%.

On Wednesday Nasdaq was closed in green, which was up by 0.66% and the FTSE 100 was up by 0.14%.
