The Steel Ministry said that it wants to place more coal washeries for to cut import of the cooking oil by the Coal India (CIL). The replacement of the raw material for the steel which is procured from Australia and its said by the Union Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh.

They asked to the Coal India and to the Coal Ministry that it should be washeries to wasgh the thermal coal and convert it into cooking coal, and they are hoping that they will replace 25-30% of the cooking Coal. It will more focused on the pelletisation of iron ore and to reduce import cost.

As per reports, it expect that National Steel Policy it crude steel to 300 million tones and the consumption of the 158 kg by the year 2030-31, and the current consumption is 61 kg.
