Shares of liquor major United SpiritsBSE -0.35 % extended their losses for the second day on Tuesday after Madhya Pradesh (MP) Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday announced that the state would go on complete liquor ban in coming days. 

Reacting on the news, United Spirits declined as much as 2.76 per cent in Tuesday’s trade so far. The scrip was trading 2.57 per cent down at Rs 1840.10 around 10.15 am (IST). Shares of the company opened at Rs 1860 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1882.85 and Rs 1836.40, respectively, in trade so far.
