Experiencing a plunge of 10.98 per cent, Bajaj Auto reported a total sales of 2,72,197 units on April 3, 2017, in comparison to 3,05,800 units sold in the same month in the previous year.

The domestic sales aggregated to 1,69,279 units, down by 17.13 per cent in March 2017 against 2,04,281 units in the same period last year.

The company's total motorcycle sales decreased by 7.57 per cent to 2,44,235 units in March 2017 against 2,64,249 units in the same month last year. While, the domestic motorcycle sales decreased by 14.33 per cent to 1,51,449 units in March 2017 from 1,76,788 units in the same month a year ago.

Bajaj Auto's total sale of commercial vehicles declined by 32.70 per cent to 27,962 units as compared to 41,551 units in the same period in the previous year. However, the company's total exports increased in March 2017, by 1.37 per cent to 1,02,918 units against 1,01,519 units in March 2016.
