The Sensex and Nifty ended in green. Meanwhile, HDFC Bank, IOC, MTNL, Natco Pharma, Sun TV, Godrej Properties, Indian Bank and ICICI Bank have hit their new 52-week highs.

In the first hour of trade, 165 stocks have hit their 52-w high. The banking stocks have largely rallied on the expectation of 25 bps rate cuts.ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank and HDFC Bank are leading in the BSE Bankex index at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, the European markets are trading in green. FTSE 100 is up by 0.21 %, DAX is up by 0.10% and CAC is up by 0.29%. HDFC Bank Ltd ended at Rs 1314, up by Rs 2.7 or 0.21% from its previous closing of Rs 1311.3 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 1315.1 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1320 and Rs 1312.15 respectively. So far 891819(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 335467.64 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 1318.2 on 23-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 928.8 on 29-Feb-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 1316.5 and Rs 1278 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 21.26 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 44.3 % and 15.93 % respectively. The stock is currently trading above its 200 DMA.
