ABB India, today announced that the company will deliver a 110 kilovolt (kV) digital substation to Technopark, the largest Information Technology (IT) park in India.

The park is located in the southern state of Kerala and spans an area of 930,000 square metres. Due to the nature of the industry, the campus is highly dependent on reliable sources of power, which it has to provide to the 350 companies, employing more than 50,000 people.

The digital substation will enhance the reliability, efficiency and safety of power generation, thereby propelling India’s Smart Grid Mission and Smart City vision. The stock has delivered 67.98% return in a period of one year, underperforming the BSE Sensex and the BSE Capital Goods index over the same timeframe.

ABB India mainly deals in electrification products, robotics and motion, industrial automation and power grids, serving customers in utilities, industry and transport & infrastructure globally. ABB operates in more than 100 countries with about 132,000 employees.

ABB India Ltd is currently trading at Rs 1216, up by Rs 43.8 or 3.74% from its previous closing of Rs 1172.2 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 1170 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1235 and Rs 1170 respectively. So far 153262(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 24839.9 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 1432.7 on 11-Apr-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 950 on 09-Nov-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 1269.75 and Rs 1170 respectively. The promoters holding in the company stood at 75 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.92 % and 8.08 % respectively. The stock is currently trading above its 200 DMA.
