The Great Eastern Shipping Company has taken delivery of a second hand Suexmax Crude Carrier “Jag Laadki” (2000 Built) of about 150000 dwt, which the company had contracted to buy in December 2016.

With the inclusion of this vessel, the company’s current fleet stands at 42 vessels, comprising 27 tankers (10 crude carriers, 15 product tankers, 2 LPG carriers) and 15 dry bulk carriers ( 1 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, 6 Supramax) with an average of 9.54 years, aggregating to 3.38 mn dwt; and additionally, the company has committed to purchase 2 second hand Suexmaxes. Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd is currently trading at Rs 399.5, up by Rs 8.3 or 2.12% from its previous closing of Rs 391.2 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 397 and has touched a high and low of Rs 405 and Rs 397 respectively. So far 87387(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 5898.4 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 410.4 on 20-Jan-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs 275 on 02-Mar-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 410.4 and Rs 384.85 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.41 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.54 % and 26.77 % respectively. The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
