Delta Corp has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange on Monday, January 16, 2017 about securing gaming license in Gangtok, Sikkim. With reference to the preceding letter of July 26, 2016, with reference to issue of a provisional gaming license for Sikkim, they confirmed that they have secured a licence of operations of a Casino in Gangtok, Sikkim, under the Sikkim Casino (Control & Tax) Act, 2002.

“The company is fully ready to commence its casino operations and will do so immediately,” Delta Corp said in a BSE filing. The stock has soared as much as 3% during the first session of the market on Tuesday, based on the expectations of increased operations capacity and profitability, building up on the news.
Delta Corp Ltd is currently trading at Rs 136.45, up by Rs 1.65 or 1.22% from its previous closing of Rs 134.8 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 137.5 and has touched a high and low of Rs 139.5 and Rs 135.45 respectively. So far 4280613(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 3115.82 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 195.2 on 26-Oct-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 49 on 29-Feb-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 135.8 and Rs 126.1 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.78 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.9 % and 49.32 % respectively. The stock is currently trading above its 200 DMA.
