Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged a major order for the supply of 118 sets of IGBT-based Traction Coverters for 3 Phase 6,000 HP Locomotives. Valued at Rs 200 crore, the order has been placed on BHEL by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW). The Traction Converters shall be manufactured and supplied by BHEL's electronics division in Bengaluru, according to an official statement.

BHEL has already supplied 225 such IGBT-based Traction Converters, which are under operation with Indian Railways. Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd is currently trading at Rs 123.6, down by Rs 1.8 or 1.44% from its previous closing of Rs 125.4 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 125.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs 126.05 and Rs 123.15 respectively. So far 3344164(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 30692.9 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 175 on 06-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 90.4 on 29-Feb-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 130.45 and Rs 123.85 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.06 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.19 % and 4.75 % respectively. The stock is currently trading below its 100 DMA.
